Red Bull's quirky cartoon advert will return to the small screen this month, forming part of the company's plans to drive profits for the on-trade in 2009.
Alongside the TV advert, which is part of the Red Bull Gives You Wings concept, Red Bull promises to give consumers unique experiences through ground breaking regional and national events.
The announcement comes off the back of a strong Christmas performance for the brand, according to the company, with 34 million cans sold in December alone — the third highest Red Bull sales in the UK for any month in the company's history.
Red Bull has also partnered with The Independent newspaper to distribute monthly lifestyle title The Red Bulletin — An Almost Independent Magazine. The publication, which is an international glossy version of one already distributed in Austria, aims to reflect the brand's heritage and showcase forthcoming events.
"Our idea to showcase the world of Red Bull in an intelligent, witty and tongue-in-cheek style has proven so successful in Austria that the timing is now right to take the development of the project a step further," said Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz.
