A new kid-friendly fizzy drink, which is "school-compliant", is about to hit the market.

Rapidz, described by brand owner Calypso Soft Drinks as "a refreshing and youthful carbonated fruit juice drink", comes in three flavours: Cola, Iron Brew and Lemonade.

The drink is made with 50% fruit juice, with no added sweeteners, and meets the strict government standards for drinks in schools.

"We are excited and very positive about this totally new carbonated brand — Rapidz will deliver the most popular and growing flavours that children already enjoy in a healthy, carbonated juicy water format," said sales and marketing director Richard Cooke.

"Initial feedback from key buyers is overwhelmingly positive and it also means students can get the drinks they like without leaving school grounds."
