Montana is celebrating 30 years since the creation of its Sauvignon Blanc style with a 2008 vintage.

The 2008 vintage, which will be available in the UK from September, is a benchmark wine that displays all of the characteristics that spawned interest in this unique wine style the world over.

"New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc has long been the jewel in the crown of New Zealand wine exports and at Montana, we are delighted to be celebrating the 30th vintage of our signature varietal," said Jeff Clarke, chief winemaker for Montana.

"All in all, 2008 is an excellent vintage and the Montana Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2008 has all the classic Sauvignon Blanc flavours in spades: bold, ripe, zesty capsicum, gooseberry, tropical fruit, mango and passion fruit - truly a benchmark Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc."
