Twenty two more managed London and Edinburgh pubs were closed last week by administrators Ernst & Young with the loss of a around 150 jobs.

Joint administrator Angela Swarbrick said: "It is unfortunate that despite negotiation with interested parties, it has not been possible to conclude a sale of these pubs to secure their long term future.

"Regretfully, we are no longer able to continue trading the sites affected."
