Blavod launches partnership with Suntory

Blavod Extreme Spirits has formed a joint venture company with Japanese drinks giant Suntory to develop new brands.

 

The new company, Diamante Spirits, will be a 50:50 partnership between UK-based Blavod and the US subsidiary of Suntory.

 

Diamante will focus on high growth areas such as vodka, tequila, rum and gin, and expects to launch its first new product this year.

 

It will market through Blavod's UK and US distribution network, as well as making the most of Suntory's strength in Asia.

 

Blavod chief executive Jeff Hopmayer, said: "Suntory's global reach, production expertise and years of market experience, combined with Blavod's success in creating new, exciting products, will give the joint venture the tools to create an instant presence in the spirits industry."
