Beer line monitoring specialist Brulines has completed its acquisition of data collection business Edensure.

The £220,000 deal signals Brulines' intention to expand into new markets. Edensure specialises in software which monitors petrol station forecourt dispensing.

James Dickson, chief executive of Brulines Group, said: "The Edensure business provides a natural extension to our core capabilities and the acquisition takes Brulines into a new adjacent market."

He added that the acquisition would "accelerate the enlarged group's penetration into the UK petrol forecourt market".

Synergies between the companies were described as "modest", but are expected to make the acquisition earnings neutral in the year to March 2010.
