Everards brewery has announced the appointment of Enterprise Inns' Nick Arthur as its operations director for brewing and sales.

Mr Arthur, currently retail development director at Enterprise, will join the Leicestershire brewer on February 27, overseeing developing brewing operations and the national and free trade accounts businesses.

Stephen Gould, managing director of Everards, said: "We are delighted to have Nick on board. He has a wealth of experience following his six years at Enterprise and prior to that working for Marston's. He'll bring both retail and brewer expertise to the job."

This is Everards' second major appointment from the two largest pub companies in the last two years - Mr Arthur follows marketing director David Bremner, who was formerly sales development manager at Punch Taverns, into the business.
