Fuller’s, the London-based pub operator and brewer, has announced the promotion of operations director Jonathan Swaine to the position of managing director of its 366-strong estate of pubs and hotels with immediate effect.

Swaine, who will join the group’s main board, joined Fuller's in 2005 and previously held positions at Carlton Communications and Molson Coors.

The company said he had played a key role in shaping Fuller's Inns into “one of the UK's most respected pub retailers”.

In his new role Swaine will report to group managing director, Simon Emeny, who previously oversaw the Inns division before stepping up to his current position last November.
