The company has acquired the lease on the site in Greyfriars Road in central Cardiff. Colliers International handled the acquisition.
The site will become Inventive’s third dedicated Revolución de Cuba site; it currently runs nine ‘dual’ venues that feature a Revolución de Cuba room.
Chief executive Roy Ellis said: “We are quite close to signing another one, which we think will be open in the summer — that’s a pure Revolución de Cuba. And we are quite close on a ‘couple or three’ sites that will probably be dual brands.
“We are looking at lots of sites all the time. We’ve probably got 12 serious sites that we are at various stages on.”
He said there are no figures in mind for openings this year — the firm currently has 66 sites. However, earlier this month Ellis told M&C Report that the number of sites in mind for the company is 120.
