Living Ventures has launched a second brand.

The operator of the six-strong Living Room has opened cocktail bar Mosquito in Liverpool and plans to have 10 to 15 Mosquitoes over the next four years.

The news came as the company unveiled a like-for-like food sales rise of over the Christmas period of 39 per cent. Bar sales increased by 29 per cent and profits were up 75 per cent.

Between April and December last year sales rose by 122 per cent to £9.14m.

The company's main Living Room brand is also growing with four more planned for this year, including sites in Leeds, London and York.

The company was founded by entrepreneurs Tim Bacon and Jeremy Roberts.
