Spirit appoints new non-executive director

Spirit Pub Company has announced the appointment of Julie Chakraverty as a new non-executive director with immediate effect.

Chakraverty is currently a non-executive director of Aberdeen Asset Management plc.

Previously, she spent thirteen years at UBS Investment Bank, where she was a board member and held a number of senior global leadership positions with a specialist background in risk management and fixed income.

She was also a non-executive director of Paternoster, the specialist pensions insurer. Chakraverty started her financial services career with JP Morgan.

Walker Boyd, chairman of Spirit, said: “I am delighted to welcome Julie to the Spirit board. She will bring with her invaluable financial experience and insight. We look forward to working with her as Spirit continues to grow and develop.”
