Diageo has decided to expand its flagship Gordon's gin brand with the relaunch of a sloe gin variant.

The new-look Gordon's Sloe Gin will be available from the beginning of February after Diageo decided to expand the variant beyond its current niche position.

Mark Sandys, senior brand manager for Gordon's, commented: "The gin category is now in its second year of growth, and we believe the time is right to further reinvigorate the gin market."

Made with sloe berries, steeped in Gordon's gin and with an ABV of 26 per cent, the new addition will be backed up with a marketing campaign and trade support.

For a recommended serving pour 35ml of Gordon's Sloe Gin into a tall glass filled with ice, then fill with tonic.
