Thwaites has unveiled Elma's Pound, its Christmas beer and the brewer's final seasonal beer of 2007.

The product, which is 4.9 per cent ABV, has been brewed in recognition of Elma Yerburgh who was Daniel Thwaites' granddaughter and the chairman of the brewery for 58 years. It is the latest in a line of commemorative beers brewed this year to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the brewery.

Brands marketing manager Lee Williams said: "It's been fantastic to see the success that our commemorative beers have achieved this year and we are sure this will continue over Christmas with the addition of Elma's Pound."
