Beer Hawk eyes on-trade with 'pick 'n mix" offer

Online beer retailer BeerHawk.co.uk has launched a new trade service help pubs access a wide variety of craft beers.

The service, available across the UK and for at least a £50 order, means free-of-tie pubs can 'pick n' mix' beers with no minimum quantity required for each beer.

It hopes the deal means on-trade customers will no longer need to be concerned with expiry date issues or over-stocking on new or unusual beers, where the potential level of demand is unknown.

Around 500 premium bottled beers are available from recognisable craft and specialist brewers across the world such as Firestone Walker, Brewdog, Chimay, and Goose Island, alongside some of the UK's most on-trend artisan beers from Cloudwater, Beavertown and Magic Rock, as well as some of the most niche, small-scale breweries such as Mad Hatter.

Beer Hawk also provide the services of a fully accredited Beer Sommelier to assist in the curation of its range for food and beer pairing with back-up from so-called 'Beer Sherpas', who are advisors on hand via telephone to guide customers through their needs.

Mark Roberts, founder and director of Beer Hawk, said: “We reject 29 out of 30 beers that are offered for inclusion in Beer Hawk’s range and as a result can rightly claim to have the best range of craft beer in the country.

"We can’t wait to start working with pubs, bars and restaurants across the UK and think we’ve put together a really compelling proposition when compared with the traditional wholesaler routes to market.”
