Brewhouse & Kitchen has revealed it brewed a staggering 1m pints from its own in-house breweries over the past 12 months.

The brewpub group provides customers with a choice of up to 22 draught beers and ciders of which, own-brewed volume is made up of seven cask and keg brands, unique to each site.

Brewhouse & Kitchen CEO Kris Gumbrell said: “We believe in providing a wide choice of craft beers and ciders from an amazing range of producers.

“Within the group, we now have 325 different beers in our own brewed range and hitting the 1m pint per year milestone is a fantastic achievement for our brilliant band of head brewers."

Growing volume

He added: “With Bournemouth, Lichfield and Nottingham only just coming on stream in the last quarter, we are looking forward to continuing to grow this volume further in the next 12 months.”

The brewer operator revealed plans to open its 17th site in Trent Bridge, Nottingham,​ last month (June) after it invested £600,000 to transform the venue.

The site was designed as a unique offer to the area with an upstairs function room for up to 120 guests and capacity for 550 guests in total within the bar, restaurant and garden.

Future plans

Managing director Simon Bunn said the Brewhouse & Kitchen team had been busy delving deep into local history to name the pub’s craft brews and create its Little Book of Beer Stories​.

He added: “We can’t wait to share our findings with residents and hopefully teach them a thing or two they may not already know about Nottingham and West Bridgford.”

Company turnover for this year is forecast to be more than £18m, with plans to operate at least 20 sites by the end of 2017.
