A team led by former Adnams commercial director Rob Flanagan has taken over Essex based Nethergate Brewery.
The Clare Brewing Company has vowed to produce a variety of new brands that it will sell into the on-trade through sister company Top 5 Ventures.
The company will continue to brew Nethergate's own beers including Old Growler, Suffolk County and Umbel Ale. It is also reviewing its range at the moment and is expected to drop some of its lower volume brands.
Managing director Rob Flanagan said: "This is a long term project and we will be looking at first to grow in our homeland and then getting some national listings."
