Fuller’s is offering a free beer or cider, soft drink or a glass of wine to Southern Rail commuters on receipt of their train ticket.

The London brewer has taken pity on commuters who have battled with trains and made it to work so decided to reward them with a free drink.

A spokesperson for Fuller’s said: “Commuting into London isn’t much fun at the best of times, but for Southern Rail passengers it’s been particularly traumatic.

The season of goodwill

He added: “In light of another strike and as it’s the season of goodwill, we thought we would try and make their day just that little bit better with a free drink.”

Fuller’s launched a unique campaign involving Instagram earlier this year (October) in a bid to attract Millennial drinkers.

The #FindFlavour campaign encouraged beer fans to photograph strategically-placed ‘blank’ outdoor posters and use Instagram filters to expose hidden messages and prizes to promote the brewer’s Frontier lager.

Craft range beer collaboration

It also launched a new ale made in collaboration with New Zealand-based craft brewer Yeastie Boys which was designed to sit alongside Fuller’s ‘craft’ range, including Frontier lager and Montana Red.

The beer was called Double Summer and was a pale ale that came in at 4% ABV for the cask edition and 4.4% for keg. It was brewed with Neson Sauvin and Jester hops.
