Innis & Gunn has revealed it plans to double its turnover to £25m over the next three years and triple beer production in the next two years to 30,000 hectalitres at its own brewery.

Over the past 18 months, the Scottish craft brewer has sold more than 40m bottles of beer globally, raised £2.5m in equity crowdfunding and purchased Inveralmond Brewery (now the Innis & Gunn Brewery) in Perth.

It has also opened three beer kitchens and signed a distribution deal for China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, and Innis & Gunn’s lager has seen a 40% growth in volume in the on-trade.

Giving customers support

Innis & Gunn director of sales Crawford Sinclair lauded last year as "transformational" and outlined how the brewer had also doubled the size of its sales team.

He said: “We had an incredibly exciting and undoubtedly transformational 2016 in the business, and our investment in our sales team is a significant step to build on this momentum in the trade and give our customers the support they need to grow their business and ours."

The Scottish brewery launched a limited edition stout in collaboration with Dublin’s Teeling Whiskey earlier this year (February).

Innis & None

Kith & Kin had a 5.8% ABV and was available in 330ml bottles online and on draught at Innis & Gunn Beer Kitchens.

At the beginning of the year (January), the brewer launched a non-alcoholic beer to coincide with an increasing number of Brits choosing to abstain from drinking through January.

Innis & None, is a 0% ABV pale ale, containing Vitamin C and ginseng, and are available in 330ml cans at Innis & Gunn’s beer kitchen sites and online.
