More tank beer outlets in pipeline for Miller Brands

Headrow House in Leeds and Albert’s Schloss in Manchester have both installed authentic Czech copper tanks to house Pilsner Urquell’s brewery-fresh, unpasteurised beer.

Headrow House, a former textile mill, recently opened its doors and saw the fastest selling Pilsner Urquell launch in the UK, selling 3,500 pints in three days. Albert’s Schloss will follow, opening today (15 October) on the ground floor of Albert Hall on Manchester’s Peter Street.

The beer, made with Saaz Hops, Moravian Barley and Plzen water, will be delivered weekly in temperature-controlled trucks, directly from the brewery in Plzen.

Jez Manterfield, general manager at the White Horse in Parsons Green said: “Having the tanks inside our pub has not only created a great talking point because they are so visible, but has also helped to deliver great-tasting beer.”

The movement follows the success of inaugural tank installations in outlets around London and Cambridge.
