Two new Alhambra beers on draught

Alhambra Tower Big

Morgenrot has announced the launch of two of its Alhambra Spanish beers on draught and a redesign of the Alhambra font.

The Especial and Sin Alhambra variants will now be available on draught and bottles.

Alongside the new font, the launch is being supported by investment in new lines, new glassware, POS, social media activity and events aiming to increase brand visibility and awareness.

The new illuminated font is said to be inspired by Granada’s Alhambra Palace and the city’s Moorish culture.

Alhambra Especial is a 4.8% ABV pilsner with a golden hue and an intense aroma of malt and hops. Alhambra Sin is a 0.75% low alcohol beer with a slight bitterness and a consistent head, brewed naturally to avoid the formation of alcohol.

Innis and Gunn go West

Bourbon Pale Ale WEB

Scottish brewer Innis & Gunn has launched a new Bourbon Pale Ale. The 6% ABV seasonal ale evokes classic American pale ale flavours, twinned with classic bourbon.

Using American cascade and amarillo hops, Bourbon Pale Ale is infused with whiskey flavour by Innis & Gunn’s American bourbon oak beer aging method.

The resulting beer has a bourbon taste with a crisp, refreshing finish flavoured with a hint of marzipan, which the brewer recommends with a spicy thai dish or slow cooked BBQ food.

Bourbon Pale Ale will be available in September.

Adnams releases charity beer

PropHop

Suffolk brewer Adnams have announced the launch of a limited edition beer, Prop Hop, in support of the charity The Matt Hampson Foundation.

Released to coincide with the 2015 Rugby World Cup, it is hoped that the beer will help raise awareness, as well as funds, for the charity founded by former rugby prop Matt Hampson.

Prop hop is a 4% ABV golden bitter brewed using English endeavour hops, barley and a pale malt rye, producing a malty taste with hints of orange peel.

It is available throughout September and October. For information on ordering Prop Hop, visit the website.
