SIBA Business and Industry Awards 2017 finalists revealed
SIBA said it has seen a 20% increase in entries compared to last year with more than 400 applicants. These have now been whittled down to make the final shortlist.
The awards were created to celebrate excellence in the brewing industry across a variety of categories, from pump clip, can and bottle design, to brewers’ efforts to make their business more successful, innovative or eco-friendly.
SIBA managing director Mike Benner said: “This shortlist represents the very best in British brewing and I’d like to personally congratulate all those who have made the cut in 2017, and wish them luck come the announcement of winners at BeerX.
“When you look at the amount of fantastic independent craft beer bars that have opened over the past 12 months, or the restaurants that are making beer central to what they do, it is clear to see how far the UK has come.”
This month will see SIBA’s new chair, Buster Grant, begin his role at its annual general meeting on Thursday 16 March.
The winners of the SIBA Business and Industry Awards – chosen by a panel of expert judges following a detailed period of consultation – will be announced on Thursday 16 March during the BeerAlive! independent craft beer showcase at BeerX.
