Video: Kronenbourg claims to have launched bar staffed by dogs
Heineken has kicked off its latest campaign for lager Kronenbourg 1664 by opening a bar staffed by dogs.
The Bar D’Alsace-tian will see trained Alsatians wear a customised dog harness mounted with a barrel of the lager and deliver it to customer’s at their tables. It will be located on London’s Greek Street and will be open to the public on Friday 6 May.
Alsatians also appear in a new TV advert for the brand, in which French actor Eric Cantona delivers the lager around Alsace to locals in need of a drink.
Heineken beer brand director Ifeoma Dozie said: “The Alsace-tians and Bar D’ Alsace-tian continue the humorous and tongue-in-cheek narrative already established in past campaigns but take the Kronenbourg story in a completely new direction.”
