Other winners included the Australia's Prancing Pony Brewery, USA's Samuel Adams and Brazil's Cervejaria Colorado.

Brad Cummings, co-founder of Tiny Rebel, said: “It is fantastic to have our beers recognised at an international level alongside such incredible breweries.

“While 2016 has been a year of big developments – from our sponsorship of the Tiny Rebel Newport Food and Drink Festival to the planning of a new brewery site, our energy remains focused on brewing quality beer that is being enjoyed around the world.”

The Newport-based brewery has won a succession of awards in 2016 including medals at the Great British Beer Festival where they collected Silver in the Bitter category and Bronze in Best Bitter.

Gazz Williams, co-founder and head brewer, said: “Our bar at the Great British Beer Festival offered a great chance to showcase what we do to around 50,000 beer enthusiasts. Our beers Cwtch, Fubar and Hadouken, limited edition Stay Puft and our brand new Tropical Golden Ale – Juicy went down a storm.

“This, along with the award recognition proves to us that there are many who appreciate our brewing philosophy that places fun, flavour and drinkability at the heart of all that we do.”

Expansion

It recently announced plans for a new brewery and community space in Newport, expanding production to 5 million litres annually – nearly 9 million pints.

The investment and configuration of the new facility will also increase the capacity of Tiny Rebel to produce new brews.

Brad Cummings, co-founder, said: “We love what we do and hope that this recognition encourages even more people to defy their senses with Tiny Rebel beer – certainly we’re gearing up to offer even more fun and flavour in the future.”
