A brand new hangover relief drink, named ‘Overhang’ has entered the soft drinks market and is now available to pubs.

The soft drink, which is for “helping consumers overcome the ill effects of a hangover,” has been inspired by “a traditional Italian family recipe” and has been launched by father and son duo Stephen and William Wilkinson.

Overhang, which will focus initially on targeting males between the ages of 18 and 34, will be available in 500ml PET bottles and available in one flavour: orange, ginger, lime and milk thistle to “help aid liver repair.”

The drink also includes “a host of vitamins” including “raspberry leaf and ginger to settle the stomach, burdock to purify the blood and antioxidants to restore blood sugar levels,” said William Wilkinson, director of Overhang Drinks.

Wilkinson added: “Hangovers result in 17 million working days lost annually and the average adult spends more than a year of their life with a hangover. With no other soft drink focused specifically on relieving the symptoms of a hangover, this is a potentially huge and relatively untapped market.”

Overhang will be available to all pubs across the UK interested in looking after their customer’s vitality and has already begun to secure listings in Weston Supermare and the Cotswolds.
