Southern Comfort #tanyourlemonade

Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands has launched a summer campaign in pubs and bars to increase awareness of the brand and drive sales of its core serve, Southern Comfort, lemonade and a squeeze of fresh lime.

Running for four weeks the campaign, called #TANYOURLEMONADE, is aiming to drive engagement around the Southern Comfort brand for both bartenders and the core 18-24 year old target audience.   The campaign will centre around in-bar giveaways and a digital competition, all supported by eye-catching point of sale materials and bartender prizes.

Consumers will be rewarded instantly with prizes for placing an order for a Southern Comfort serve. Their ‘tanned’ drink will be served  with a side of gold-tinted sunglasses or a ‘Sun’s Out. Fun’s Out’ visor courtesy of Southern Comfort.

Support for participating outlets will be available in the form of dedicated PoS including tent cards, digital screen artwork, strut cards, coasters and bar runners.  Branded mason jars will also be available so that bartenders can create the perfect Southern Comfort, lemonade and fresh lime serve.  Prizes for bartenders will also be up for grabs throughout the campaign to drive engagement and sales.

CRYSTAL HEAD MiniTini

Crystal Head introduces deconstructed martini

Crystal Head is introducing the Deconstructed Martini, a new take on the classic Martini serve, to celebrate the release of Crystal Head Vodka minatures.

Available exclusively in three London venues Hush in Mayfair, Lights of Soho and Galvin at Windows at the Hilton Park Lane hotel. On ordering a Deconstructed Martini, customers will receive a Crystal Head Vodka miniature, a shot of dry Vermouth, a selection of garnishes, a shaker full of ice and a chilled Martini glass.  It is then up to the individual to add a personal twist to their Martini.

Shaken or stirred, dry or sweet, the premise behind the serve is to add interest and theatre to the cocktail making process, but also allow the customer to make a Martini to taste – just the way they like it.

Pogues whiskey - white - mini

Pogues launch Irish whiskey

West Cork Distillers has launched an Irish whiskey inspired by and developed in conjunction with The Pogues.

A collaboration between two distillers, Barry Walsh and Frank McHardy, the whiskey is a blend of grain and 50% single malt Irish whiskey making it Ireland’s highest malt-containing blended Irish whiskey.

“We wanted to create an Irish whiskey with global appeal, which isn’t without its challenges,” says John O’Connell, co-founder of West Cork Distillers.  “The Pogues offer a perfect partnership as they share many of the same values as our company such as an independent spirit, a slightly unorthodox approach and a commitment to quality, as well as success on the international stage.”

The whiskey has an aroma of malt, cracked nuts, almond and a slight sweetness and its smooth intensity delivers a palate that is malty and floral with a mild chocolate taste and lingering citrus notes.
