Increased interest in gin and previous sell out events has forced the Gin Guild to move its London-based Ginposium to a bigger event space this year.

The Gin Guild’s fourth annual Ginposium seminar, which will be held on 8 June, is now at RSA House, central London.

Gin Guild director general Nicholas Cook predicted a rosy future for the spirit at the beginning of this year (January) thanks to authenticity, heritage and a wide variety of choice from the consumer.

Gin grips and enthuses consumers

He outlined the plan for this year’s gin seminiar and said: “Our previous Ginposium events have sold out, so for 2017 we are holding the event at a much larger venue, RSA House in London.

“The excitement and interest in gin continues to grip and enthuse. Last year in the UK alone more than £1bn of gin was sold and we hope to better that this year.

“New brands continue to arrive on the scene almost weekly to stake their claim while established brands and the early entrants to the current renaissance continue to innovate and develop.”
