The Morning Advertiser’s Drinks List: Top 100 Brands has formed the basis of an Oxford accountants’ internal bingo-style competition for staff.

Chapman, Robinson & Moore Accountants have challenged their staff to spot all of the drinks on the list at their clients’ premises and the first one to tick off all the brands wins an undisclosed prize.

Commercial director Mike Foster said: “Leisure and hospitality are two of our specialist areas, we have a few members of staff that specialise in those sectors so thought it would be a good idea.

Interesting yet challenging

He added: “Also, after coming back from Christmas, we thought it would be a fun thing to do.”

Foster said the list of brands has been printed off from The Morning Advertiser’s website so the accountancy team could tick the brands off when they are visiting clients.

He said the task would be interesting for his colleagues as while some of the brands would be easy to find, others would be a challenge.

He added: “Initially, everyone went through the list to see how many they could tick off and there were a few favourites so it will be interesting to see which ones are left at the end.”

Reinforces leisure and hospitality

Foster explained the firm tries to tackle different challenges each month and The Drinks List is one for January.

He said: “It is interesting particularly because leisure and hospitality are two of company’s specialist areas. So it reinforces that aspect within the company.”

Topping The Drinks List was Hendrick’s gin followed by Captain Morgan Original Spiced rum in second place and Stella Artois in third.

Seven gins made the top 100 including Portobello Road No 171, Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, Martin Miller’s, Sipsmith, Gordon’s and Hendrick’s.
