Leading pub industry figures took part in a sponsored walk, led by Yaser Martini, across the capital’s bridges to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Delete Blood Cancer UK.

PubAid director and entrepreneur Martini’s daughter Margot was diagnosed with a rare form of leukaemia in October last year when she was 14 months old.

Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers strategic affairs director Kate Nicholls, Beds and Bars CEO Keith Knowles and American author Bill Bryson were among those who took part in the charity walk on 26 June, which has so far succeeded in raising more than £27,000 on the event’s Just Giving page.
