Crown Cellars makes 135 wines exclusive to on-trade in its 2016-17 wines and spirits portfolio, after seeing double-digit volume growth in the past 12 months.

The updated portfolio consists of more than 700 wines and spirits and was compiled by a team of experts including wine buyer Louise Boddington, spirits buyer Katie Hewitt and Crown Cellars' master of wine Jonathan Pedley.

Many of the on-trade exclusive wines won internationally recognised awards at ceremonies last year, including the Sommelier Wine Awards, the International Wine Challenge and Drinks Business Global Masters.

Customer feedback

Pedley said: "When we embarked on our annual range review, our objective was to analyse our customer feedback and respond with a portfolio that would truly add to their businesses."

A rise in customer demand for more premium products is also reflected in the list, with particular attention paid to gin, whose growth shows no signs of growing.

Meanwhile, Crown Cellars' wine and spirits category manager for the south-east and London, Dougal Kenny, gave his top tips to creating the perfect wine menu in an exclusive video for the Publican's Morning Advertiser.
