Ahhhhh! C'mon Bridget the same nonsense every single year.

You spout the same rubbish every year post wholesale increases from your members. So duty may add 2p a pint of duty payable by the BREWER!

The brewers can choose whether to pass on the increase. In turn their customers (your leading members) can choose to pass it on to their own customers. Undoubtedly they will. All to protect their margins at the expense of tenants.

Your leading members have just increased the price of a pint by 7p three times the duty. That will add at least 10p by the time it gets to the pump.

Why not ask your members "Scrap the wholesale price of beer escalator and save 16,000 thousand jobs"?

Did you know Bridget that the wholesale price has increased by 40% since 2007 thats about 50p a pint. Duty has increased by 11p a pint in the same period.
