The Stag: multi-millionaires run the pub

A £13m lottery winner has ditched her leisurely lifestyle to take on a SA Brains tenancy in Llanelli, Wales.

Former supermarket checkout assistant Sandra Fosbrooke took over the tenancy of the Stag near Llanelli in Carmarthenshire after it closed.

"When the chance came to take over the pub I jumped at it," Fosbrooke told the BBC.

"I'm loving every minute of it, my family are all helping out too and the village social life is on the up since we reopened."

Fosbrooke is working 12-hour days running the pub with the help of her son, his partner and his partner's mother.

Fosbrooke and partner Ken Henry won £12.8m on the lottery in May 2005.

After growing tired of their leisurely lifestyle, Fosbrooke took on the Stag and Henry went back to his pre-lottery occupation of a £5-an-hour Bingo caller.
