Marston's: appointed new operations director

Marston's, the brewer and pub operator, has poached a senior operator from Pizza Hut UK to join its 500-strong managed pub arm as operations director.

The group has appointed Will Prideaux, regional operations director (south) at Pizza Hut, who will join the business next month in what is effectively a number two position in the Marston's Inns & Taverns division, reporting to Derek Andrew, managing director.

He will succeed Pete Dalzell who recently moved across to the group's tenanted and leased arm to help rollout its new retail agreement, having worked on the managed side for eight years.

Prideaux joined Pizza Hut owner Yum! Brands eight years ago, prior to which he was a serving officer in the army.

Andrew said: "Given the expansion of our food-led pubs, Will's experience in the family restaurant sector will be invaluable in adding a new perspective to the rapid development of our consumer offering."
