Pub operators Barracuda and JD Wetherspoon are extending their January discounts throughout February as the battle to get customers back into the pub continues.

The 220-strong Barracuda Pub Group is offering a 125ml glass of Kumala wine for 99p and Marston’s Classic Pale Ale at 2.8%, from £1.39 a pint. It is continuing the offer on Morland’s Original at £1.69 a pint.

For food, the company has fish, chips and peas, scampi and chips, and sausage, mash and gravy for £2.99.

And after 2pm, the hand-pressed 7oz burgers will be on a two-for-one deal. Barracuda is also marketing a 25% friends and family discount on food for staff.

JD Wetherspoon is also continuing pushing promotions throughout February, by marketing two meals for £6.49.

Barracuda Pub Group's head of marketing Myles Doran said: “Our customer’s response to our January deals has been received really well and as a result have decided to run similar deals throughout February.

"Our experience is that people are visiting pubs and dining out, but price, and more importantly quality, is key when deciding where to eat.”
