The collective wealth of the Sunday Times Rich List 2010 has grown by 29.9% to £355.5bn and includes a host of individuals from the leisure sector.

The collective wealth of the Sunday Times Rich List 2010 has grown by 29.9% to £355.5bn and as usual a host of individuals from the sector, including hoteliers, brewery and bar owners and property tycoons have made the top 1,000.

The £77.256bn increase on 2009 is the biggest jump in the list's history of 22 years.

Lakshmi Mittal, the steel tycoon, tops the list with an estimated wealth of £22.45bn, more than double that of last year.

The list of the country's 1,000 wealthiest people has also produced more billionaires with 53, compared with 43 in 2009.
