Steamin’ Billy Brewing Company, the Leicester-based brewer and pub operator, has acquired the freehold of the Dog & Gun in Syston, Leicestershire, from Punch Taverns, taking its estate to six sites.

On the outskirts of Leicester, the business, which was sold off an asking price of £195,000, benefits from two trading areas and three letting bedrooms.
Founded in 1995 by Barry Lount and Bill Allingham, Steamin’ Billy Brewing Company currently operates five further pubs in Leicestershire — the Steamin’ Trumpet in Thornton; the Cow & Plough in Oadby; the Paget in Loughborough; and Time Bar and the Western, both in Leicester.
Christie+Co acted on behalf of Punch.
