Stonegate appoints former Gondola exec Clare Staples

Stonegate, the managed operator, has announced the appointment of Clare Staples to head up its Slug & Lettuce, Missoula and Living Room brands.

She has worked for Gondola Group for 17 years and was most recently head of operations south for ASK restaurants.

In November the Publican's Morning Advertiser sister title M&C Report revealed that Mary Willcock, managing director of Slug & Lettuce chain, is to become managing director of Brunning & Price (B&P), The Restaurant Group-owned pub group.

Staples’ role includes overseeing Living Room, the 13-strong brand acquired by Stonegate from Premium Bars & Restaurants in August in a deal thought to be valued at around £10m.
