Licensing Minister Gerry Sutcliffe talks exclusively to MATV about the Government's plans to reduce red-tape in the licensing of live music.
A new consultation proposes scrapping the new for a music licence provision at venues with a capacity under 100 and Sutcliffe says he would be prepared to extend this to sub 200-capacity premises depending on the feedback.
MATV also captured the noisy protest in Parliament Square, organised by the Musicians Union and Equity, which calls on Government to free-up music licensing — and sought the views of campaigners about Sutcliffe's latest announcement.
