Sky Sports is to kick-off the opening weekend by broadcasting matches between two of last year's top four clubs live on Sky 3D. Manchester United begin defence of their title when they face West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on 14 August and Ford Monday Night Football returns on 15 August with Swansea City's first ever Premier League match, against Manchester City.

Sky said it will be showing more content broadcast on 3D. Over 2,000 bars now show 3D and it is watched by one million bar viewers nationwide.

In September the Scotland v Czech Republic in a Euro 2012 qualifying match on 3 September will be shown on 3D as well as 3D the Barclays Premier League Tottenham v Liverpool on 18 September.
