The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is putting pressure on MPs to attend the pubco/tenant debate in the House of Commons on 12 January.

It is asking asking publicans and customers to use a pre-written email which asks their local MP to vote for meaningful reform of the large pub companies.

The Business, Innovations and Skills Committee (BISC) submitted a motion to have the issue debated in the House. The debate follows the BISC report which called for a Statutory Code of Practice and an adjudicator to manage the relationship between pubcos and tenants.

However, business minister Ed Davey supported self-regulation and agreed a deal with the British Beer & Pub Association.
