Bramwell Pub sites
The 35 former Bramwell Pub Company sites that have been placed on the market with Christie + Co are located in a fairly even split across the country.

A full list of the 35 sites, seen by the Publican's Morning Advertiser sister title M&C Report, reveals that 11 are located in northern England, with 10 in the south, six in the Midlands, six in Scotland and two in Wales.

The sites, which have been closed, are:

  • London and the south east: Latchmere, Battersea, London; Silkworm, Braintree; Town Hall, Staines; Lanyard, Portsmouth; Oak Tree, Sevenoaks; Phoenix, Ashford; Pilgrim, Caterham; Wey Bridge, Alton.
  • South west: Varsity, Plymouth; Clipper, Weymouth
  • Midlands: The Academy, Uttoxeter; the Courtyard, Cannock; Glass Works, Rugeley; Goodridge, Burton; Gravity, Hinckley; Maskery, Congleton.
  • North east: The Pow Burn, North Shields; Trillians Rock Bar, Newcastle.
  • North west: Sanctury, Didsbury; the Penny Black, Cheadle Hulme; the Phoenix, Southport; Varsity, Manchester; Waldron, Crewe; Wyre Light, Fleetwood.
  • Yorkshire & Ridings: Barracuda, Hull; Hornblower Tavern, Ripon;
  • Scotland: Buccleuch, Dalkeith; Cambus, Cambuslang; Logie Baird, Helensburgh; Malt Cross, Ayr; Queensberry, Dumfries; Cooperage, Elgin.
  • Wales: The Academy, Port Talbot; Bidding, Llanelli; Buccaneer, Barry.

Bramwell was placed in administration with Zolfo Cooper at the end of last month after the group experienced cash flow problems arising from the “current challenging economic environment”.

While Stonegate Pub Company is in advanced talks to acquire c80 of Bramwell’s best performing sites, the future of the remainder of the company’s c65 sites remains in doubt.
