Enterprise Inns has increased its drinks prices by an average of 2.9% from today (9 February).

The move comes following the announcement of wholesale price increases by three major brewers last month, with rising cost pressures cited as the main driver of the hikes.

A spokesman for Enterprise said: “The weighted average percentage increase in the Enterprise Selling Price (ESP) is around 2.9%. This reflects the widely reported increases in wholesale prices of between 2.9% and 3.6% for top selling brands from leading suppliers, who cite rising manufacturing costs as the reason for their higher prices.

“As part of our continued commitment to minimising the potential impact of price increases on our publicans, we have introduced increased levels of sales and marketing support for them through enhanced product deals and free point of sale.

“We have written to all our publicans to inform them of this increase, which will take effect on deliveries from 9 February.”
