New licensees at Enterprise pubs can benefit from individually tailored websites as part of a new support package from the pubco.

The deal is available for new publicans on a long-term tenancy, and aims to kick-start and promote business. More than 35 publicans have signed up so far.

The first website to go live – www.butchersarmschesterfield.co.uk – has been built for Nicky Claxton and Trevor Marples, at The Butcher’s Arms, in Chesterfield.

Publican Nicky said: “Having this website is a fantastic start for us, as we can direct customers to one place where they can find out everything they need to know about the pub.

“It’s a great example of the kind of support Enterprise gives to its publicans, which will no doubt prove a huge help to us.”

The package includes independent mentoring, access to free training courses, and support in cellar management and business growth, as well as membership to the British Institute of Innkeeping.

Enterprise said licensees can quickly and easily manage and update their website content.

Websites will be supported by professional photography, and include information such as opening hours, location details, events listings, menus, images, contact details and social media links.

Enterprise sales and marketing director James Armitage said: “We’re pleased to announce that we’re the first pub company to offer this type of service, free of charge.

“We’re always identifying fresh ways to help our new publicans thrive and succeed.

“Having a web presence is so important for many businesses, as customers often expect to be able to locate pubs online, to find out certain details before they visit. It also provides a platform to integrate social media activity, provide pictures, and more.

“We’re essentially taking away the time and hassle of building a website, so our publicans can focus on other vital areas of the business when starting-up.”
