South-west brewery and operator Bath Ales has converted one of its Bristol venues into a Beerd craft beer bar.

The Gordito site in Colston Hall follows a temporary takeover by the brewery's craft brand Beerd for the BBC6 music festival - which resulted in strong sales and customer feedback.

It will now be opening as a permanent craft beer site on 23 February taking over Beerd branded sites up to three with two in Bristol and one in Oxford.

The new venue features industrial-style design and a menu focused on a diverse selection of beers and freshly-made, artisan pizzas.

Duncan Zvonek-Little, operations director at Bath Ales, said: “We think Beerd will be a huge success in its new Colston Hall home. A prime city-centre location, it’s the perfect place for music and theatre fans to catch a drink and something to eat before or after a gig.

“Beerd was really well received during the trial run, timed with the BBC6 Music Festival. We ran a special festival menu and gave visitors the chance to experience the vast and varied beer offering Beerd is renowned for.

“Beerd has a unique proposition which has great appeal. Ideal for beer fans and those new to beer, it provides the perfect platform for consumers to experiment and try something a bit different.”
