ALMR opens Late Night Award nominations

The ‘dusk til dawn’ awards will follow the group's annual Bar and Nightclub Conference for the night-time and late-night sector industries, which are open to hospitality venues that trade after midnight.

The event will be held at Café de Paris in London's West End with a gala dinner prior to the presentation of the awards.

Judging process

The judging and nomination process is split into three categories:

• Nomination of peers or self in an award category. The deadline for the initial submission is 26 August and up to three nominations can be made in each category. The nominations should be for the company rather than the individual venue (except the Best Late Night Venue category)

• Nominee shortlists are created by a judging panel, including selected industry professionals who can evaluate merit in their fields and these shortlists are then published for open voting. Participants can vote in all categories across multiple nominees but cannot repeat any votes.

• The top three finalists in each category are announced before the event and winners are crowned at the annual gala ceremony in October.

The competition comprises of the following categories:

• Late Night Food

• Late Night Drinks

• Late Night Entertainment

• Service & Team Development

• Marketing & Promotions

• Late Night Venue

Fantastic variety

Chief executive of the ALMR Kate Nicholls said after four years of the event, the awards and the late-night sector itself, continues to impress and innovate.

She added: “We have been consistently pleased with the fantastic variety and the strength of the nominees each and every year. This is the fourth year of the Late Night Awards in its current incarnation and, like the late-night sector, they continue to innovate and impress. The awards provide us with a snapshot of the late-night economy, one that is giving the UK some of its most vibrant and ground-breaking businesses.

The awards process is open and inclusive with the finalists judged by industry leaders.
