Pub and brewery operator Brewhouse & Kitchen plans to open its latest site, the Nottingham Brewhouse & Kitchen, in Trent Bridge, Nottingham, on Father’s Day (18 June) after investing £600,000 transforming the venue.

Overlooking the river Trent, the premises will be the operator's 17th site and has been designed as a unique offering for the area with an upstairs function room for up to 120 guests and capacity for 550 guests in total within the bar, restaurant and garden.

Alongside the pubco's characteristic offer of 50 different craft beers, international ciders, wines and spirits, the pub will have exclusive beers from the company’s own-brewed range. This will include a perennial beer, a seasonal beer that will rotate approximately every six weeks and “an ever-changing ‘brewer’s choice’” produced by the on-site brewer. According to the pubco, these exclusive beers will pay homage to the West Bridgford and Nottinghamshire areas “with a fun fact or extraordinary story to accompany it”.

The pub will serve food and will have “a playful selection of ‘beertails’, wines and spirits, expertly paired with dishes from their menus”.

Managing director Simon Bunn said: “Our team have been busy delving deep into local history to name our craft brews and create our Little Book of Beer Stories. We can’t wait to share our findings with residents in the coming weeks and hopefully teach them a thing or two they may not already know about Nottingham and West Bridgford.”

He added: “What makes our pubs unique is the fact that each one has its very own microbrewery and we employ a dedicated local brewer to operate it. We’re pleased to announce Ben Pearson will be the man for the job at Brewhouse & Kitchen Nottingham, and our guests can watch him in action thanks to the centrally-located copper vessels that will brew his fantastic craft beers.”

Customers can also book a Beer Masterclass, as well as a Brewery Experience Day, organised by the resident beer expert and on-site brewer.

Company turnover for this year is forecast to be more than £18m, with plans to operate at least 20 sites by the end of 2017.
