Pubco Ei Group has announced a new partnership with PubLove – owner of boutique hostels and historic pubs - to operate across five sites together.

The partnership was made with Ei Group’s business Ei Managed Investments, which partners with “some of the best operators in the pub industry to support a more complex retail offer”.

Established in 2007 by Ben Stackhouse, PubLove’s mission is to safeguard a pub’s future by “diversifying and modernising its offer without losing its unique character and soul".

As a managed expert venture, and with the support of Ei Managed Investments, PubLove said it has “ambitious expansion plans”.

Stackhouse, CEO of PubLove, said: “Having worked closely with Ei Group for many years, we’re delighted to be partnering with their Managed Investments business.

“With their experience and access to a strong pipeline of new sites, this is a great opportunity for PubLove as we look to expand.”

Establishing sustainable community pubs

Nathan Wall, operations director for Ei Managed Investments, added: “PubLove is an exciting proposition with its focus on establishing sustainable community pubs.

“We’re delighted to be part of its expansion and we look forward to a successful working relationship with Ben and his team.”

PubLove is Ei Managed Investments’ seventh Managed Expert partner as the business continues to work with industry-leading managed house operators and benefit from their individual retail capabilities.

Other expert partners include Rupert Clevely, with Hippo Inns, Karen Jones, with Frontier Pubs, and Peter Borg-Neal, with Hunky Dory Pubs.

Since launch in May 2015, and with the PubLove partnership, there will now be a total of 21 pubs operating as part of Ei Managed Investments.

Ei Group, formerly known as Enterprise Inns, has more than 4,500 pubs across England and Wales.
