A brewery has opened an outlet offering craft beers and Indian street food in Birmingham after supplying its products to several pubs over the past three years.

The Indian Brewing Company, which opened its flagship site near Snow Hill station last week (Friday 13 January), was set up in Warwickshire in 2014 and began trading in 2015.

The company has supplied products to the on-trade, including 23 Wetherspoon pubs, and Birmingham-based wholesalers, including Stirchley Wine & Spirits, where it gathered much attention.

A new craft beer concept

Indian Brewery Company founder and director Jaspal Purewal told The Morning Advertiser (MA): “We always wanted to have our own establishment where we could sell our beers directly to the customers and provide a great service.

“Along with our craft beers, we wanted to offer some kind of Indian food, but we wanted to steer away from the traditional balti or curry house.

“That's why we decided bring the concept of the Indian street food and pair it with our craft beers and artisan coffee.”

“Consistency in food and beer quality and presentation are really important to us.”

He added: “We wanted to create a place where people will socialise. It’s come together quite nicely.

“The public has spoken and it's all worked together.”

Passion for Birmingham

The brewery has always been a strong supporter of its city and has dedicated one of its best-selling beers – Birmingham Lager – to it.
