Purity Brewing Company is to roll out its Bunny Hop cask pale ale in kegged format.

The Warwickshire brewery will officially launch kegged Bunny Hop (3.5% ABV) at the Craft Beer Rising festival at the Old Truman Brewery in London later this week.

'Tremendous' response to cask

Bunny Hop is brewed with Maris Otter, lager, wheat and Carapils malts and hopped with Pilgrim, Eureka, El Dorado and Chinook.

Purity managing director Paul Halsey said: “Bunny Hop was born out of a passion to brew a lower ABV pale ale that still packed plenty of punch in terms of body, aroma and flavour.”

He added: “The cask version has had a tremendous response from customers, so we’re delighted to offer a keg version, enabling even more venues to benefit from this fantastic extra hopped pale ale.”

Past success

Purity has made a name for itself with its commitment to sustainability, which led to the company winning the title of Midlands Sustainable Manufacturer of the Year in 2016.

In December, it launches a limited-edition barrel-aged beer, called Perro Tonto (Spanish for ‘stupid dog’) to commemorate its success over the year.

The beer, an amber ale aged in sherry casks, was named in tribute to the brewery’s late pet dog, who was called Useless Bloody Urchin, for which one of its regular brews, Pure UBU, was named.
