Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans is to sell another of his pubs — after closing the Lickfold in Petworth, West Sussex.

The multi-millionaire blamed the credit crunch as trade dipped at the pub.

"After almost three years I have sadly had to make the decision to close the Lickfold Inn," said Camilla Hansen of Evans Pubs.

"We have had some great times there but also some less good times and after a period of struggling to hit a consistent high, I feel that we can no longer justify keeping the Lickfold open."

Earlier this month, Evans sold the Newbridge Inn, at Tredunnock, near Usk to the Celtic Manor.

He still owns the Mulberry Inn, at Chiddingfold, Surrey.
