Thirteen freehold sites from Punch Taverns, Enterprise Inns and a private vendor are set to go under hammer at an auction held by Sidney Phillips.

Prices range from £110,000 for the Aberdale Hotel in Mountain Ash, Rhondda Cynon Taf, to £350,000 for the Chainbridge Inn in Usk, Monmouthshire, and the York Cafe/bar in Bridgend, Cardiff.

The auction will be held at the Manor Hotel in Newport on Thursday 8 March at 2.30pm. A second auction is also being arranged in Shropshire on 14 March, properties for this are yet to be announced.

Last year, Sidney Phillips held eight auctions, although a lot of the properties were sold prior to or after the auction.

Managing director Robin Mence said: “The number of auctions we hold is always down to demand, and I anticipate this year to be similar to last year. Summer seems to be the time of year for auctions.”
